Saturday, April 15th will be the day you can meet the Easter Bunny at the Pride of Canada Carousel in Markham! The day-long event will make-and-take crafts events and $2 carousel rides. The Easter Bunny will be handing out chocolate treats throughout the day.
The Pride of Canada Carousel is a 50-foot carousel with 44 rideable sculptures in an indoor facility that is truly one-of-a-kind. This kinetic piece of art is one of the many pieces of public art that showcase Markham’s culture and art history. Each sculpture was fashioned by Patrick Amiot out of found objects and painted by his partner Brigitte Laurent. The carousel is the only solar powered, fine art carousel that truly celebrates Canada’s rich, cultural history.
